Teakean Farmer Dies At Orofino
     
OROFINO - Orville Herring, 87, died late Sunday night at an Orofino hospital. He had been in failing health for several years.
     
He was born Sept. 28, 1878, at Milton, Iowa. At the age of 10, he came to Idaho with his parents where they homesteaded at Teakean. He later farmed the homestead.
     
Survivors include his wife, Carrie, Lewiston; three daughters, Mrs. Olive Preussler, Cavendish; Mrs Della Benjamin, Spokane; and Mrs. Stella White, Lewiston; a son Elbert, Cavendish; 11 grandchildren. A son, Clarence, preceded him in death.
     
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Teakean Cemetery. Gilbert's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
